Printing for Artists

Perenna prints for artists and photographers at our studio in Toronto. The studio is run by Roop Chhoker, who answers every email and makes every print.

Prints are made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308, a 100% cotton, acid-free matte paper, with Canon's twelve-colour LUCIA PRO II pigment inks on a 44-inch imagePROGRAF PRO-4600. Other Hahnemühle papers can be specially ordered for you. They cost the same as Photo Rag. Ordering a paper adds about a week to the turnaround.

Prices

8 x 10 in $14
8 x 12 in $14
11 x 14 in $22
12 x 18 in $28
16 x 20 in $40
16 x 24 in $48
18 x 24 in $55
20 x 30 in $75
24 x 36 in $105

Other sizes up to 44 in wide: multiply the width by the height in inches, then divide by 8. That's the price in dollars, rounded to the nearest dollar ($18 per square foot), with a $14 minimum. For example, 20 x 20 in is 400 ÷ 8 = $50, and 30 x 40 in is 1,200 ÷ 8 = $150.

10 or more copies of the same image: 15% off. 25 or more: 20% off.

Rush orders, ready the next business day: add 25%. Files must be approved and paid for by 12PM. Subject to availability.

Your First Order

Your first order can include a free test print of one image, up to 8 x 12 in at its own proportions, so you can see the paper and colour in person.

Turnaround

3 business days after your files are approved and payment is received.

Files

TIFF or high-quality JPEG. 300 ppi at print size gives the sharpest results; 200 ppi is the lowest we print from. If a file is too small for the size you want, we'll tell you before printing. We don't scan or photograph original artwork.

We don't print AI-generated work.

Colour

Matte cotton paper shows colour more softly than a screen. A test print is the best way to judge it.
