The Artist Programme

Perenna exists to print work by living artists. As of right now, every print in the shop comes from the past. Hokusai's views of Mount Fuji. European paintings from the Rijksmuseum. An 1881 astronomical plate from the New York Public Library.

That's the starting point, not the plan. Opening with the archive sets the standard in public first, where anyone can order a print and judge it in their own hands.

What the programme will be

Printed to order on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm with pigment ink, on the same machine that prints everything else in the shop.

A licence, not a buyout. The artist keeps copyright and stays free to sell the same work anywhere else.

30% of the net sale price to the artist on every print sold. Open editions by default, with no pressure to cap an edition.

No AI-generated work in the catalogue, at any point.

When it opens

Not yet. It opens when payment, reporting and turnaround are things this studio can promise and keep, rather than things it hopes will work.

If you make work you would want to see printed this way, send it to info@perennaprints.com with a link. Nothing formal, and no portfolio review. You'll hear from me when it opens.
